Match Day funds will be used to support shelter resident programming including:
Transportation Program – provides needed transportation to medical appointments, counseling, court, job interviews and more
Car Program – allows residents to work towards earning a donated vehicle through obtaining their license, taking a car maintenance course and volunteering for 10 hours. The Car Program connects residents to permanent transportation and helps cover all fees and initial tune-ups.
Work Program – provides assistance in applying for employment, transportation to needed screenings and necessary work attire (steel toed shoes, non-slip shoes, black pants, etc).
Extending Mercy – provides supportive services to graduates for up to three years after they move into their permanent housing.
These support programs are critical to help break the barriers many homeless people face in moving forward in their journey.
