Amazon Shelby County Community Grants

Overview

Amazon is partnering with the Community Foundation of Shelby County to provide $100,000 in Community Grants. The grants are open to all Shelby County organizations holding a qualifying status with the IRS (501c3, religious organizations, and government entities). Grants will only fund the focus areas provided in the Guidelines below and specifically exclude general support, individuals, political organizations, endowments, scientific or medical research and annual fundraising campaigns. Grants MUST be completed within one year and a final report is mandatory.

Grant Guidelines

  1. Funds will be utilized within the geographic boundaries of Shelby County, Ohio and ideally will benefit a wide range of residents living within the county.
  2. Grant requests from $500 to $10,000.
  3. Grants must demonstrate measurable outcomes in the following focus areas:
    • Education/STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
    • Sustainability/Environment
    • Health and Wellness
    • Social Cohesion
    • Culture/Heritage
    • STEM/Workforce
    • Hunger/Homelessness
    • Emergency Services
  1. Grants should not duplicate current services.
  2. Grant requests should include a reasonable plan for obtaining continued financial support from internal or external sources for the cause once the Amazon Shelby County Community Fund grant monies are expended.
  3. Requesting organization will have obtained an IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status or is a government entity.
