Revitalizing Recreation: Fort Loramie Unveils Youth Park Improvements
The Village of Fort Loramie is proud to share the successful completion of a recent improvement project at our Youth Park—an investment in recreation, community wellness, and the long-term enjoyment of our public spaces.
Thanks to a generous $5,000 grant, we were able to breathe new life into an underutilized area of the park and transform it into a vibrant hub for outdoor activity.
From Worn-Out Courts to a Community Gem
The project centered around replacing unused tennis courts and aging pavement that had become both unsightly and unsafe. The Village removed the deteriorated surface and installed new asphalt pavement, creating a refreshed, modern layout for recreational use.
What’s new?
- Six brand-new pickleball courts, a sport rapidly growing in popularity among all age groups
- One full-sized tennis court, preserved for traditional play
- Upgraded basketball courts, remaining as a key feature of the park
These updates not only improve the appearance of the park, but also enhance its safety, usability, and appeal to residents and visitors of all ages.
