With the money that is obtained through Match Day donations, RACK assists families with grocery cards and gas cards to be used when going back and forth to doctor appointments and to hospitals for chemo or other treatments. RACK gives support short term with gas and electric payments when behind on bills due to illness and inability to work. The group helps with payment of meds when they cannot be afforded due to being off work or for other reasons. RACK helps with car repairs when people can’t afford them and would lose their jobs otherwise. RACK also assists other non-profits with their needs, especially the shelters in Sidney and Shelby County Board of Disabilities. The organization acquires or buys used or donated furniture and appliances for families in need. The group has paid for wheelchair ramps to be built and bought medical equipment needed by people also.
