2019-2020 Scholarship Season has started!

Are you a high school, college, or adult student looking for financial assistance for your education? Thanks to our generous donors, the Community Foundation oversees more than 70 scholarship funds that provide around 190 scholarship opportunities to help talented and passionate students attain their dreams.

This year we added a Skills Scholarship Program.  This will be separate from our general application.  High school seniors and adults pursuing a certificate or an Associate’s Degree and reside in Shelby County or the School Districts of Shelby County may apply.  The application is simplified, straightforward, and will include an interview.  The program will award 10 $2,000 scholarships.

The Community Foundation general online scholarship application is for all types of students furthering their education at a qualified institution.  This general application allows students to apply for multiple scholarships with just one application.  Once students complete the eligibility section of the application, the application will automatically filter which scholarships the student is eligible for. Students must then select which of those scholarships they want to apply for.

A scholarship fund at the Community Foundation can be established with a minimum gift of $5,000. Donors can create their funds in memory of a loved one, to support educational opportunities in general, or to fund awards for a specific educational institution or a course of study.
